Meet The Team

Tyler & Mary McDonald

Cofounder & COO

Tyler and Mary McDonald have been involved in real estate in various ways since 2012. As Tyler's time to retire from the Navy draws near, he and Mary have worked their way toward deeper involvement in real estate with an emphasis on short term rentals and home renovations. They currently own and manage two properties in Wintergreen, VA, and one in San Antonio, TX . Tyler is a managing member of Dauntless Investing which pools investor capital to buy short term rentals across the country. He is also a mentorship coach with HostCamp with a focus on helping people obtain their own short term rental properties and create amazing Airbnb listings. In their personal lives Tyler and Mary are passionate about foster care, hobby farming, travel, surfing, and fitness. They and their four kids live in Suffolk, Virginia.

Casey Woodburn

Cofounder & CAO

Casey has been involved in business development and client management in various ways since 2017. While only recently becoming involved in real estate, he and his wife, Jessica, quickly grew their portfolio to five properties in Lynchburg, VA, Shenandoah, VA, and Pasadena, MD. Casey met Tyler and Mary through a real estate mentorship program that specializes in short-term real estate investing. Realizing they both had shared interests in growing long term wealth and sharing their knowledge/experience with others through management, they decided to join forces and launch EHC. In their personal lives, you’ll often hear Casey and Jess discussing new recipes, faith, travel, and coffee. They’ll also be welcoming their first son into the world this Spring in Pasadena, MD

Xavi Xolani

Revenue Management Analyst and Data Analyst

Xavi serves as a Revenue Management and Data Analyst at Elite Hosting & Co., bringing over seven years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue optimization, and advanced analytics. With a Bachelor of Honors degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics, his approach to decision-making is through a strong quantitative lens. Xavi specializes in Tableau, SAS, MATLAB, Python, and advanced Excel to build forecasting models and deliver data-driven insights. His work centers on improving revenue performance and maximizing the value of property portfolios through strategic analysis. Xavi has a strong interest in real estate. Outside of work, Xavi enjoys programming, training at the gym, and actively participating in church life. As a Roman Catholic, faith plays an important role in shaping his discipline, integrity, and long-term vision.

Johanna Gumede

Executive Assistant & Operations Coordinator

Johanna is the Executive Assistant & Operations Coordinator at Elite Hosting Co. She is a qualified Business Analyst with an MBA and over 15 years of experience in operations across multiple industries, specializing in driving efficiency and strategic growth. Throughout her career, she has led data-driven initiatives that increased revenue, reduced costs, and optimized business processes through structured analysis and disciplined execution. Beyond her professional work, Johanna is passionate about health and fitness, regularly training at the gym and maintaining a disciplined lifestyle. She is currently pursuing her personal training qualification, with the goal of helping others achieve sustainable and meaningful fitness results.
